PHOTOLITERATURE: WRITING YOURSELF, WRITING MYSELF
WRITING MYSELF

WRITING MYSELF is a 2025 self-portrait in both visual and written aspects: after recording myself free-writing on my backdrop about my life as an artist and researcher over the last few months, I made self-portraits while and after writing on myself.

The process is intended as a performance of Photoliterature, transforming life writing into live writing. Using different modalities of narration creates a form of plurilingualism: photography, videography and writing as languages of their own, as well as French and English. The creation process creates a narrative, however the final product deconstructs them: the full text/performance is not available, whether it be because of the artistic choice to cut something out, because my own body hides parts of the story, or because someone might not speak both languages featured on the backdrop.
