TERRE DE CONTRASTES is a 2025 photoliterary project dealing with memory and family history through the use of bodywriting, narrative art, art writing, installation art, life writing and performance art.

The stories written on the pieces of fabric are excerpts from the beginning of a novel about my family history and home. After observing each of them adapt to their environment over the course of one week, I created self-portraits with them - the final part in the water with the help of my photography assistant, Natasha Jane Kennedy, and after having my colleagues and friends write on me, thus reversing the usual roles in my bodywriting projects. Coming from the idea that words are about my life and history, and that words often acts as clothes in bodywriting experiments, the stories written on the pieces of fabric became a form of clothing - one that cannot be controlled, playing around with its surrounding elements such as wind, rain, water and grass, but mostly one that doesn't fit and that one has to force to fit around their body, much like family history is transmitted and cannot be changed - and does not always fit. â€‹
